Moselle

img_2178img_2191 Having enjoyed our cycle to the Moselle we decided to move there for the next few days. Saying our goodbyes to Martin and Edith and the industrious workshops we headed in convoy to settle in Zeltingen-Rachtig for a few wonderful days of flat cycling and the best ever apple strudel. The vineyards along the Moselle are dizzyingly precipitous. Trucks, scaling these steep faces to collect the grapes on narrow gauge railway lines, seem to defy gravity.  After an active, amusing week of cycling, swimming in the surrounding volcanic lakes and wine tasting we had to say goodbye to the steep vineyards and strudel and more sadly to Amy and Lynne.  Pointing our motorhome in a southerly direction we headed towards France whilst Amy and Lynne were bound for UK.
